About the Baker

 

I am Katie, the founder of Katie's Wildflower Cakes since January 2020. I fell in love with baking when I was about 6 years old and haven't stopped ever since. For 4 years I trained to work with children in Early Years but I decided to pursue my dream and start up my own cake business - working doing the thing I love! 

I work so hard on every cake I make and love the process from talking with customers to discuss what they'd like, decorating it, and handing them the finished piece. Your wedding cake should be one of the most fun parts of planning!

I specialise in bespoke swiss meringue buttercream cakes and love using flowers, especially UK grown and edible ones. My style is elegant joined with techniques that I have worked hard to learn including stencilling, texture and meringue decorations.

When I'm not working making cakes I love being outside. Living in the Brecon Beacons means I have endless opportunities for hiking, camping and kayaking with my boyfriend and family.
